The 2020 Annual Meeting will be a free event which will be held virtually during the month of October 2020. The meeting will provide trainees with the opportunity to present their work to Senior Surgical Consultants and their peers and compete for the numerous prizes which will be on offer for the best presentations in selected categories. The prizes include travel and accommodation bursaries to attend and present at International Surgical Research Societies in Europe, South Africa and America.
SRS has committed to supporting a high-quality future project proposal by a collaborative in the UK or Ireland at our 2020 annual meeting. A ‘Dragon’s Den’ type session with the top 5 selected abstracts competing for a chance to win €4000 in support of the project.
The Surgical Research Society annual meeting will be held virtually during the month of October 2020.
Sessions will be hosted every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6.00pm to 7.00pm commencing on Tuesday 6th October with 3 parallel poster sessions.
On Thursday 8th October we will host the RCS(Eng) Research Fellows Symposium. On the 13th and 15th October, Parallel sessions will focus on Basic Sciences, Database Research, Systematic Reviews, Translational Research, Surgical Education and Training and Cohort Students.
The 20th and 22nd October will see presentations for the Patey Prize.
On Tuesday 27th October parallel sessions will focus on Experimental Human Research, Qualitative Research and Breast Research.
The meeting will conclude on Thursday 29th October with the Research Collaboratives Dragons Den which will be followed by the presentation of prizes. We hope you can join us for these free events.
